Task Forces
To best understand concerns and opportunities due to the BRAC growth, the Valley Partnership Joint Development Authority (VPJDA) team formed Task Forces, or working committees, in the following areas:
Public and Private Utilities and Infrastruture
Public Safety and Emergency Services
We worked with each county’s area experts and meeting with RGMP planners to identify key issues in each county as well as receiving feedback. Task Forces met in the summer of 2008 and met again in January 2009. Our goal was to produce the best possible plan for each county and one plan for the region as a whole.
At the Task Force meetings subject matter experts from each county in the Regional Growth Management Plan area meet with planning partners to preview findings and discuss issues and data gaps. At the meetings, residents provide insight and concerns about BRAC related growth issues in their community.
