Excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in urban and regional planning to join the Fort Benning Regional Growth Management Planning Team. 

The Fort Benning Regional Growth Management Plan (RGMP) is a major planning effort designed to assess the challenges and opportunities facing communities impacted by the Fort Benning BRAC growth and to find solutions that address these issues.

Job Focus

  • Assists urban and rural County governments in the 10 county bi-state region in implementing the growth planning recommendations in the Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) and the Regional Growth Management Plan (RGMP).

Job Requirement

  • Ability to assist urban and rural communities with limited planning staff and to facilitate a regional approach to planning.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in the principles and practices of planning in a broad spectrum of areas, to include land use planning, transportation, utilities, housing, education, and public safety.
  • Planning Director level experience preferred.
  • Skilled in operating CommunityViz land use planning software
